Michong is soon going to take the form of a severe cyclone. Due to this cyclone, there is a danger of heavy rains and strong winds in many states including Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh. Seeing the danger, the administration has also started its preparations.
Wind speed will be 90-100 km per hour in Andhra Pradesh: On Cyclone Michong, IMD Director General Dr Mrityunjay Mahapatra says, “It is a severe cyclonic storm which is 90 km north east of Chennai. It will move parallel to the Andhra Pradesh coast. Wind speed in Andhra Pradesh will be 90-100 km from today. It will be per hour.” We have instructed fishermen not to go into the sea till December 6. Red alert has been issued for northern coastal TN and AP and Yanam.
