JAMMU, Dec. 10, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai today chaired a comprehensive meeting to review district-level preparedness for the Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) Campaign 2025.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Prem Singh, PO Poshan Subash Chander, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Anil Manhas, and representatives from ICDS, Education and other stakeholder departments.
During the review, the DC assessed arrangements related to booth management, vaccination team deployment, transit site coverage, logistics, and cold chain maintenance. She stressed the need for 100% coverage of all children below five years, ensuring that Udhampur remains polio-free.
Calling for intensified IEC and awareness activities, especially in remote, high-risk habitations and transit points, the DC directed line departments to work in close coordination for the successful implementation of the national health mission. She also instructed officials to deploy special monitoring teams and ensure daily reporting for effective supervision.
Briefing the meeting, the Chief Medical Officer shared details of the micro-plan, vaccine availability and training status of field workers. He informed that:
• 535 vaccination booths will be set up across the district
• 86,192 children (0–5 years) are targeted for immunization
• 13 transit camps and 4 mobile teams will support the drive
• 110 supervisors and 5 district monitors will oversee field operations
Door-to-door teams, fixed booths and mobile units will work in tandem to ensure that every eligible child is covered during the IPPI round. (Source: PIB)
