Ghaziabad, October 14, 2025 — IMS Ghaziabad organized an insightful and inspiring session on “GST 2.0” as part of its flagship event “Vishleshan-25”. The program brought together eminent policymakers, tax experts, and industry leaders to discuss the ongoing positive transformations in India’s taxation landscape.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Shahzaad Poonawalla, National Spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), addressed the gathering with his characteristic eloquence, stating that the Goods and Services Tax (GST) has liberated citizens from the complexities and pains of the earlier tax structure. He emphasized that GST has paved the way for a unified and transparent taxation system that has simplified compliance, reduced costs, boosted sales, and strengthened the national economy.
Mr. Poonawalla reiterated the government’s commitment to transforming India into a developed nation by 2047, citing initiatives such as the ₹50 crore Jan Dhan Yojana, which has successfully advanced financial inclusion by integrating millions of citizens into the formal economic framework.
The Guest of Honour, Dr. Vivekanand Shukla, Joint Commissioner, GST, delivered an in-depth presentation on the framework of GST 2.0, elaborating on its compliance mechanisms and the role of digital governance in fostering transparency and efficiency. Mr. Rahul Agrawal, Executive Director of the Ghaziabad Management Association, highlighted how progressive tax reforms can serve as a vital bridge between academia and industry while propelling sustainable economic growth.
The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 300 management students and faculty members representing nearly 30 management institutes and universities across India.
