New Delhi, Jan. 10, 2026: On the recommendation of the Government of India, President Droupadi Murmu has approved the summoning of both Houses of Parliament for the Budget Session 2026.
The session will commence on January 28, 2026, and continue until April 2, 2026. The first phase of the Budget Session will conclude on February 13, after which Parliament will reassemble on March 9, 2026.
The schedule is aimed at facilitating detailed legislative business, meaningful debate and people-centric governance during the Budget Session. (Source: PIB)
