NEW DELHI: Feb. 08, 2025: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the Delhi assembly election 2025 with 48 seats, and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) could win only 22 seats.
Except for Atishi Marlene, the other prominent faces of the Aam Aadmi Party lost their seats. Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Saurabh Bharadwaj, and Satyendra Jain could not win the election. BJP’s Pravesh Verma defeated Arvind Kejriwal at the New Delhi constituency.
The Delhi assembly has a total of 70 seats, out of which BJP won 48 with a 45.56% vote share, and AAP scored 22 seats with a 43.57% vote share. The Congress Party has a 6.34% vote share in this election. Except BJP and AAP, none of the other political parties could even open their accounts in this assembly election.
