Actress Sherleen Dutt, who has been in both “Honey Trap Squad” and “KINK,” believes the entourage mentality has swept the business. Referring to Anurag Kashyap’s recent interview in which he discussed the entourage culture that exists in the business and revealed that actors are permitted to travel with their own team of seven to eight people as they are the stars of the movie. He went on to say that the entourage adds to the crowd and raises expenses because they are quite demanding.
Sherleen has supported him and said, “According to Anurag Kashyap, the entourage culture has undoubtedly seized the industry by storm. There are several ways to assess if this tendency is fair. On the one hand, performers who bring their entourage-which includes personal assistants, stylists, makeup artists, and social media teams-make sure they are polished, self-assured, and able to concentrate on their performance. This could improve the production’s overall quality.”
“However, having such a huge entourage can also result in significant cost increases and a congested, perhaps disruptive stage. The actor’s needs must be balanced with the production’s financial and logistical limitations for this method to be fair.” she added.
“This not only creates jobs but also helps in building a reliable team that understands the actor’s needs and enhances their performance. Ultimately, while some actors might feel envious or uncomfortable with another actor’s large entourage, it’s crucial to recognize that each actor’s approach is unique and tailored to their comfort and professional needs. Balancing individual preferences with the collective harmony of the set is key to ensuring a productive and respectful working environment for all,” she ended.
