Bangladesh crisis: Wait and watch situation for Sheikh Hasina

NEW DELHI: Sheikh Hasina, the former prime minister of Bangladesh, is still stationed at the Hindon Airbase in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Days after Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh departed her country amid violent protests against her government, the External Affairs Ministry announced on Thursday that there has been no information on her future plans.

The Ministry of External Affairs added that it is keeping an eye on all developments and is hoping that the Bangladeshi crisis will end soon. According to the Ministry, the situation in that nation is still changing.

Hours before the Prime Minister’s mansion was stormed, Sheikh Hasina resigned and flew out of Dhaka. It was anticipated that she would go on to seek political asylum in the UK, but she hasn’t been heard from since.
